Member benefits

Why become a member

Membership is for those who want more than access — they want a stake.

🔑

Exclusive access

Business Masterclasses and Business Dinners reserved for members — spaces for work and exchange not open to the broader community.

📣

Premium visibility

Your profile and products featured on TC's channels — one profile or product per week, as part of our local talent spotlight programme.

Priority opportunities

When TC surfaces an opportunity — mission, collaboration, call for projects — members are contacted first.

🪑

A seat at the table

Members participate in the assemblies where TC decides which issues to bring to institutional level. Advocacy is built with you, not without you.

What Techies Connect means to our people.

The Techies Connect Effect

Found a role through Techies Connect
I came to my first TC Brunch as a quiet observer. Six months later I was offered my current role by someone I met there. Techies Connect didn't sell me anything — it just put me in the right room.

The Lab gave my project a structure — real critique, real milestones, real community. We shipped in public because the community pushed us to.

FAQ

Good to know

What does the first year cost?
Your annual contribution — 25 000 FCFA for students, 50 000 FCFA for professionals — plus a one-time 10 000 FCFA application fee. Total first year: 35 000 or 60 000 FCFA. After that, only the annual contribution.
I'm a student now but will be a professional next year — what then?
Your status is set at the moment you pay. Since the contribution is annual, you'll renew as a professional next year, at the professional rate.
How is my membership confirmed?
Submitting the form creates your member account in PENDING status. After your payment is reviewed by the Bureau Exécutif, your status switches to ACTIVE and you can see your dues paid-until date in your /me space. Refusals (rare) are motivated, per Article 3 of the internal regulations.
How do I renew next year?
Sign in to your /me space — when your dues are within 30 days of expiry (or already lapsed), a Renew button appears that takes you straight to payment. No application fee on renewal: only the annual contribution.
Can I cancel and get a refund?
No. Article 21 of the internal regulations: a member who resigns or is excluded cannot claim a refund of the application fee or past contributions.
What happens if I don't renew the following year?
Active membership requires regular contributions (Article 3). Without renewal, you lose member rights — voting in assemblies, exclusive event access, opportunity priority.

The association

A legally registered association.

Techies Connect is a legally registered association under Cameroonian law — formally established to represent, protect and advance the interests of tech professionals across the country.

Beyond the community, the association is where decisions are made, advocacy happens, and members get a real seat at the table. It gives TC the legitimacy to engage with institutions, sign partnerships and speak for the ecosystem.
